What type of vacuum blood collection tube should be used to collect serum plasma samples?
Serum: blood collection tubes without anticoagulant / blood collection tubes with procoagulant. (Usually red, yellow, orange-capped tubes)
Plasma: anticoagulant tubes. (usually green, purple-capped tubes)
If the sample is collected and tested within 1 week, it can be stored at 2-8°C. If the sample cannot be tested in time, please dispense it in one-time use and freeze it at -20°C (for testing within 1 month) or -80°C (for testing within 3 months) to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Before testing, frozen samples should be slowly thawed and centrifuged to remove precipitates from the freeze-thaw process
